Kaysville, known as “Utah’s Hometown,” is an active community full of traditions, family values, and a unique sense of belonging, with great access to an abundance of recreation and shopping. According to the 2010 census, the population of Kaysville is 27,300. In 1868, Kaysville was the first city to be incorporated in Davis County.

It is home to an arboretum that houses 300 trees and shrubs, gardens, and home landscapes. The center also features an urban fishery, walking and biking trails, wetland areas, a volunteer-tended garden, a seasonal farmer’s market, as well as classes and workshops.
Some of the community-sponsored events in Kaysville are a Daddy-Daughter Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Arbor Day Celebration, Memorial Day Veterans Program, Movies in the Park, National Trails Day, Kaysville/Fruit Heights Idol Contest, and a July 4th Celebration complete with breakfast, 5K/10K runs, a parade on Main Street, a family festival, and fireworks. There is also a July 24th Breakfast, Miss Kaysville/Fruit Heights Pageant, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Volkswagen Club Show, Monster Mash and Dash Festival, Armed Forces Day Celebration, Tree Lighting and Electric Parade, and a Family New Year’s Eve Celebration.
The Autumn Glow Senior Center offers multi-generational classes including water exercise, oil painting, T’ai Chi, bingo, watercolor, ceramics, lapidary, doodle art, square dancing, arts and crafts, Chi Quong, Bridge, and pinochle. The Kaysville Yard and Garden Committee sponsors a community garden, located between the Autumn Glow Senior Center and the public library. Not only does this garden bring a sense of unity to the city, but it provides residents with healthy exercise and wholesome produce. They also hold an annual Yard and Garden Tour in September. The City of Kaysville offers youth and adult sports, and youth summer programs such as art, bowling, golf, Boy Scout Merit Badge classes, sewing, science, swimming, tennis, track and field, and more.
Some attractions located in Kaysville are Cherry Hill Resort, with campgrounds, swimming pools, water slides, miniature golf, and picnic areas. Boondocks Family Fun Center offers bowling, laser tag, arcade, rollerball miniature bowling, batting cages, miniature golf, go-karts, bumper boats, and more. ,Lagoon Amusement Park, in nearby Farmington has campgrounds, amusement rides, a water park, and a pioneer village. Kaysville has almost a thousand local businesses, including the much-loved, family owned and operated, Kaysville Theatre, the only discount theater in Davis County.
Plenty of other recreational opportunities, including hiking, biking, camping, golfing, and skiing, are just a short drive away. Kaysville’s central location provides easy access to Salt Lake City, which is only 25 minutes south, and Ogden, which is 18 minutes north.
