The St. Patrick’s Day Gold Dig is held in March and the Cops and Robbers 5K run is in April. Roy Days, a weeklong fun-filled event, is held every summer, and in 2013, the Roy Firefighters began a new annual Ambulance Chase 5K run. The Miss Roy Scholarship Pageant is held in July and gives each participating young woman a chance to increase her confidence, share her talents, and have fun at the same time. A Miss Roy Princess Ball is held in June and provides all girls, ages 0-100, an opportunity to dress up in their princess best and enjoy food, festivities, and dancing. In addition to offering community events that enrich the lives of the people and provide recreation, the city is dedicated to maintaining clean neighborhoods.
