Hill Air Force Base, one of Utah’s major employers, is located along Clearfield’s eastern border. Along the southwestern side, the old Clearfield Naval Supply Depot has become the Freeport Center, and is a major manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution hub. The Clearfield Job Corps Center, established in 1966, provides training to unemployed and untrained youth from sixteen to 21 years of age.
