Hill Air Force Base, located in Davis County just south of Ogden, is a major United States Air Force Materiel Command base, populated with over 23,500 military, civilians, retirees, and families. The Wasatch Mountains are to the east of Hill AFB and the Great Salt Lake is to the west. The military-friendly cities of Roy, Sunset, Clearfield, and Layton surround Hill and provide additional shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Salt Lake City is just a 30-minute drive south. Utah is world renowned for its amazing snow in the winter and outdoor recreation the rest of the year, so opportunities for fun and adventure always abound.
Hill AFB is one of the largest employers in Utah and home of the 75th Air Base Wing, which provides support for many organizations, including the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC). The OO-ALC provides worldwide logistics management and engineering for the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile, as well as the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F-22 Raptor, the C-130 Hercules, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Hill AFB is home to the 388th Fighter Wing and the 419th Fighter Wing (Air Force Reserve).
Hill Aerospace Museum, situated on approximately 30 acres, remains a popular tourist site, enjoying around 180,000 visitors every year. Founded in 1981, the museum exhibits over 90 military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace vehicles, in addition to various munitions, ground equipment, uniforms, and historical artifacts. Other facilities at Hill AFB include bowling, a fitness center, a recreation center, officer and enlisted clubs, restaurants, and a child development center.
Hill AFB’s helping agencies offer numerous community resources. In order to streamline and centralize the continually evolving information, Hill’s leadership created the website “Hill’s Helping Hands” (H3), which provides access to calendars and an abundance of community resources. Some of the programs offered are health care services, civilian employee services, legal services, chaplain services, airman and family resources, child care and youth services, base housing, spouse programs, recreation, and fitness. Hill AFB is a diverse community, dedicated to improving lives and maintaining the defense of our country.
At West Property Management, we are familiar with “Team Hill” and work hard to provide quality property management. One valuable tool we offer is an owner-approved maintenance account. The amount of money you keep in the account, as well as the frequency with which we contact you about repair issues, is flexible, depending on your preferences. Some owners like to be contacted about every maintenance issue, while others prefer to be contacted only for major items. If a necessary repair is under the amount in your maintenance account, we can take care of the issue and provide details on your statement. If a repair is more than this amount, we will contact you to discuss options and obtain approval. Because of the volume of our business, we are able to negotiate competitive prices. Our vendors are trained to save you money and will look for warranties when possible. West Property Management’s goal is to save you money and increase your bottom line.
